About Texas Legends Care
A 501(C) 3 Non-Profit Organization
Texas Legends Care is organized and will be operated to provide relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged by assisting young people from our community through programs stressing education, good health and skills necessary for their future success. Texas Legends Care will also assist Military families to honor, remember, recognize and appreciate those who have served and those now serving.
Legends Care – Bus program – In 2015 – 2016 the Texas Legends Foundation worked with the Dallas ISD Molina Feeder School, Plano ISD Education Foundation and various nonprofit organizations to bus children to the Texas Legends game. We provided the buses for transportation, tickets and food for each child, parent, teacher, etc at no cost to them. For the 2015 -2016 season, we were able to bring over 3,000 guests to the games.
Home Depot Community Hero – The Home Depot Community Hero honors those who have made a difference in our community. Home Depot honors those who serve The Legends will select and recognize an individual at each home game during Season and the Award recipient will receive complimentary tickets for their immediate family members for the game date they receive the award. Dreammaker Program – Texas Legends Cares, has announced a partnership with Dr Pepper to present a new season-long community initiative named “Dream Maker”. At each of the Legends’ 24 home games a member of the community will be presented with a charitable gift aimed to fulfill an unmet need. Jersey Nights – The Texas Legends, through Texas Legends Care, hosts a charitable jersey night each home game of the season, raising awareness for a unique charity, every time the Legends take the court. The Legends “Home Jerseys” are designed to match the theme of the night and are auctioned off at the end of the night to raise money for the charity. Along with the jerseys, each night presents a different ceremony or presentation that connects the crowd to the charity and calling more people to get involved.

Marques Haynes Memorial Foundation – In partnership with the Haynes family, join us in remembering Marques by helping to support the ‘Marques Haynes Memorial Foundation’. Some of the many programs that will benefit from the fund are scholarships, basketball camps and clinics for children in need of financial assistance and other educational initiatives and programs. Texas Legends Care strives to give back to our less fortunate youth by providing educational and athletic opportunities in many different forms, while also supporting members of our military (both past and present) as well as their families. Texas Legends Care helps to support more than 30 different non-profits through our Jersey Nights, Bus Program and Basketball clinics, such as Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army, Goodwill Industries, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Orphan Secure and many others, who share similar initiatives. Texas Legends Care also supports Plano ISD, Frisco ISD, and Dallas ISD.
